Post Partum Depression: This type of depression mainly occurs after having a baby. However, this Depression Symptoms usually commence within four weeks of giving birth and can vary in duration and intensity.

Symptoms:

  • Sad mood, frequent crying
  • Insomnia
  • Fatigue
  • Moodiness
  • Anxiety

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) – The signs and symptoms of depression of this type mainly occurs in women which tends to occur (and recur) as the days grow shorter in the fall and winter. In the same context, it is believed that affected people react adversely to the decreasing amounts of sunlight and the colder temperatures as the fall and winter progress.

Symptoms:

  • Increased desire to sleep
  • Extreme lethargy
  • Increased appetite which often leads to weight gain

Anxiety Depression- When an anxiety and depression occurs together in a patient is known as Anxiety Depression.

Symptoms:

  • Lack of energy
  • fear
  • panic disorder
  • Social phobia

Atypical Depression: Atypical Depression is a type of depression that overwhelms an individual especially in females almost to the point of emotional paralysis. The illness often runs in families and tends to cause greater functional impairment than other signs and symptoms of depression of depression.

Symptoms:

  • feelings of hopelessness or worthlessness
  • stomachache and digestive problems
  • loss of enjoyment in things that were once pleasurable
  • increased need for sleep
  • thoughts of death or suicide

Agitated Depression: Agitated Depression is another form of clinical depression and generally shows the signs and symptoms of restlessness and irritability. This type of depression is also known as It is now also known as mixed mania.

Symptoms:

  • Tearing of cloths
  • Racing thoughts
  • Verbal outburst
  • Hand wringing
  • Motor agitation
  • Never ending baseless thoughts
